The spring is made up from large rock into circle shape. The flow into the spring is 0,5 - 1 l/second and the temperature is 45 °C. The spring is about 2 m long, 1.4 m wide and 0.5 deep. There is a lot of algae flora in the spring. This hot spring is not very good for bathing because of the large rocks in the bottom but is used a lot for foot bathing. This spring could have been used to clean laundry in the old days. There are no changing facilities.
How to get there:
The spring is around 7 km from main road no. 1 The road is paved until Reykjavellir but from there you have to walk the distance of approximately 1.5 km up the meadow. This is not an easy walk and you will have to go over few fences and some ditches
