Region:
East
About: (Description)
Papey, a large island opposite Búland and Hamarsfjörður, surrounded by islets. Formerly a substantial farm but now deserted. The name indicates that Irish monks lived there before the settlement. A popular tourist attraction, church and lighthouse.
