Trollkonuhlaup Waterfall
Tröllkonuhlaup, (“Giantess’ leap”) a waterfall in Þjórsá. Giantesses believed to live in Búrfell and Bjólfell used the rocks in the river as stepping stones when they tried to catch Gissur of Lækjarbotnar.
How to get there:
Take road no. 1 from Hella direction Selfoss. After few minutes drive take exit to road no. 26 direction Galtalækur. After about 60 km drive by that road you will see the waterfall. The waterfall is not marked by the road.
