About: (Description)
Laugardalslaug has a 50-meter pool, hot pots, Jacuzzi, thermal steam bath, sun lamps, and an 86-meter-long water slide for young and old. One can also get a message and a vibrating water-message. This facility is situated in Laugardalur valley, the center for athletics and recreation in Reykjavík. The area surrounding the pool has paths good for jogging and walking. In winter there are paths for cross-country skiing. A short distance from the pool is the Botanical Garden where one can see numerous plants and flowers while enjoying an especially peaceful atmosphere. Nearby is the Farm Zoo which everyone staying in Reykjavík should visit. On display are Icelandic pets and a variety of wild animals.
