About: (Description)
Höfði, a large timber house on Borgartún, built 1909 by the French for their consul. Now a hospitality house for the City of Reykjavík. Winston Churchill, the then British prime minister, visited at Höfði in 1941 during his visit to the British forces in Iceland. In 1986 summit talks between President Ronald Reagan and General Secretary Mikhaíl Gorbatsjov were held at Höfði.
