About: (Description)
Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in Iceland and Europe, over 8,000 km2, its highest point being Bárðarbunga (2,000 m). The highest point in Iceland is Hvannadalshnúkur (2,119 m) on the Öræfajökull glacier.
The road up to the Glacier is for four wheel dirve cars only. We suggest that a tour with guide is taken to the Glacier.
