Hvannalindir, an area where several streams come up from under a lava field, surrounded by grasslands and other vegetation not usually seen at that height (650 m). Lindakeilir is a small cone shaped hill in the western part of the area. Many protected ruins in the lava edge, possibly made by the 18th century outlaw Fjalla-Eyvindur
