How to get there:
There are two routes to Ísafjörður from Reykjavík. One is fully paved, while the other has a few stretches of gravel road. Distances are about 450 km.
Paved route: Take Route 1 (Ring Road) past Borgarnes and then turn left onto Road 60. Continue past Búðardalur and turn right onto Road 605 in the direction of Hólmavík. Road 605 then merges with Road 61 to Isafjordur.
