About: (Description)
Bjarg is an old farm in the town of Borgarnes. The old farmhouse which formerly housed sheep, horses and chicken has been renovated as a guesthouse.

Accommodation in a studio apartment for 4 persons with private cooking fac. and WC/shower (cat. III).

Another separate space with one double and two 4 persons rooms with shared facilities (cat I).

Also 4 pers. cottage (75 sq.m.) with two double rooms, kitchen and living room. All rooms have TV and wireless internet.

Bjarg is at quiet place in outskirts of the town of Borgarnes, with a beautiful view and many nice walking tracks. Convenient location for sightseeing in West Iceland. About 1 km from shops and service in Borgarnes.

Borgarnes

Borgarnes is about 74 km from Reykjavík City Centre. The Settlement Centre of Iceland is in Borgarnes, there is also an excellent swimming pool for families and Bjossarolo, a unique playground lovingly built from scrapwood. Bruduheimar, a center for pupperty art is in closed to Bjossarolo. There are selection of shops, restaurants, cafés and hotels in Borgarnes or in the neighborhood.

How to get there:
(By road no. 1 in outskirt of Borgarnes town, Bjarg is 400 m from road nr. 1):

From Reykjavík (road 1): When you arrive in Borgarnes town from Reykjavík you cross a bridge just before enterning the village. Soon after the bridge you come to an intersection and you should take the right turn (road 1). Take a right turn at the 2nd street, Bjarg street (aprox. 900m) and at the end of this street (aprox. 400m) you find the accommodation Bjarg

From Akureyri (road 1) or Stykkishólmur (road 54): When you arrive in Borgarnes town from the north (Akureyri) or the west (Stykkishólmur) then you come to a traffic circle. You should take the exit into the town (road 1) and take a left turn at the 3rd street, Bjarg street (aprox. 1km) and at the end of this street (aprox. 400m) you find the accommodation Bjarg.
