Hotel Hekla’s location makes it an ideal place to start and/or end a trip around Iceland . It takes less than one hour to drive from Reykjavik to Hotel Hekla, an hour and a half from Keflavik International Airport .

Also, an amazing number of the places in Southern-Iceland that attract most travellers, because of natural beauty and historical interest, are within a short distance from Hotel Hekla. Þingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir, Laugarvatn, Hekla, Þjórsárdalur, Þórsmörk, Dyrhólaey and the roads across the middle of Iceland to the North through Kjölur and Sprengisandur, to name only a few.

How to get there:
You drive road nr. 1 from Reykjavík in the direction of Höfn. On the way you drive through the town Selfoss and then you take off to the left on road nr. 30. Shortly you will see Hótel Hekla on the left hand side. Totally you drive 25 km from Selfoss.
