Hvítserkur - A 15 m high basalt crag rising from sea - North West Iceland
Region:
North West
About: (Description)
Hvítserkur, a 15 m high basalt crag rising from the sea near the farm Súluvellir. The action of the surf has eroded it to make it resemble a three-legged monster. On the way to Hvítserkur seal breeding grounds can be seen unusually close to. There are often hundreds of seals lying on the sands beyond the estuary. One of the most accessible seal breeding grounds in the country.
